LA-based Boxer Films recently filmed a documentary on the work done by Walgreens, Vitamin Angels & City hope International.
Filming took place in some of the most dramatic and poor neighborhoods in the cities of Santo Domingo and Santiago. La Cienaga, well know for been a “favela” under the Duarte’s Bridge, and “Cienfuegos” in the city of Santiago, with top records on violence. Also some “Bateys” in the community of Monte Plata.
The job was to film how the vitamins given not only to kids, but also pregnant women and new mothers, changes their lives by having better health and access to lifesaving and life changing vitamins and minerals.
